How did I miss this?
Wes Anderson is turning Fantastic Mr. Fox into a movie and it’s coming out this year!
Fox is my 2nd favorite Roald Dahl book of all time! Right after Charlie and The Chocolate factory. I used to read it all the time, mostly in between my readings of the adventures of all things charlie (including his new glass elevator).
While the idea of the movie makes me a little nervous, the fact that Bill Murray, George Clooney and Cate Blanchette are all attached makes my freakishly small hands sweat with anticipation.
Random Points of Discussion:
- I pronounced it Ronald Dahl until I was a late teenager. That’s what I get for skimming.
- I have never (and I mean never ever) liked any of Wes Anderson‘s movies. I know this is practically sacrilegious for an entertainment writer but it’s true.
- I’ve never met a Roald Dahl movie adaptation I didn’t like. Those include: Matilda, James and The Giant Peach, Witches and of course Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (and it’s terrifying 70’s predecessor).

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such wonderful information being shared freely out there.
