Crap.

I came to Montreal for what I thought was going to be a relaxing trip with my granny. Now that I’m here, I’m quickly realizing that this 87-year old woman has more energy then I ever have had and she is already dragging my ass all over down.

Let’s just start with the fact that she out drank me last night and wouldn’t stop talking about her highly inappropriate crush on George Stroumboulopoulos.

This morning she is taking my hung-over self to the mountains to check out the fall coulours, then we will be heading to a taping of CBC’s Routes. And apparently we won’t be napping in between. Routes is a live music series which promotes local and national songwriting talent. Basically typical CBC fare.

Tonight’s show features Annabelle Chvostek and Lake of Stew. They describe it as an intimate and fun evening of alternate country and ‘nouveau’ blue grass with 2 charismatic musical friends. Sure most people would typically be nervous about spending an intimate evening with their grandmother. But if today is any indication, this weekend is going to be anything but typical.
