It looks like those Americans are finally figuring out how great the Degrassi cast is.

Last year, they stole Darcy (Shenae Grimes) for the 90210 reboot. And now it looks like Degrassi is losing another senior with Nina Dobrev (teen mom Mia) being cast in the CW drama Vampire Diaries, which just happens to be written by none other than Kevin Williamson.

Ignoring the fact that the last thing this world needs is another Vampire story about a normal girl torn between two vampires, I think it’s great that young Canadians are getting some attention in Hollywood!

So who else should LA casting diretors purge from our beloved Degrassi cast?
Personally I think it’s only a matter of time before Paula Brancati (Jane), Jamie Johnston (Peter) and Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty) are given vehicles, or at least passenger seats, of their own. Former cast members Stacey Farber (Ellie) and Ryan Cooley (J.T Yorke) also need to be back on TV stat!
