Lord knows I love me a contest. I’ve never met one that I haven’t liked. But as I get older and wiser, I’ve decided that I have to stop keeping them to myself and start sharing info on all these great contests.
That is why I wanted to let everyone know about the Zune Concert Series and the Band search. Unfortunately I have the talent of a Top 500 Canadian Idol singer, so I can’t partake in this one, but aspiring artists looking for a break or music fans who would like the chance to win a trip out to Whistler will definitely want to check this one out.
There are actually two contests:
Now the contest for the bands is cool for lots of reasons, one of them being that the winning band gets to play at the amazingly cool TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC. Bands playing at the festival also include Metric and 10 Second Epic (which is coincidentally what I was called in University) The winning band also get airfare, food, accommodations and five Zunes. This is an AMAZING opportunity for any canadian musicians, so if you are in a band or k now someone who is, make sure you pass the information along!
The contests close on April 7th so you don’t have much time!
Good luck! Unfortunately the Junos have killed any reminance I had of a bank account, so I won’t be making it to the festival this year, but if you make it to the mountains don’t forget who you have to thank….
