Every now and then there’s a movie that, when you watch the trailer, you’re like “Yeah, I HAVE to watch that.”  It’s been a long time since I said that about a Michael Keaton movie (I mean, Jack Frost?!) But, after I saw the trailer for BIRDMAN or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance , I not only said I have to see this movie, I think I may have screamed it.

And I’m not the only one.

The movie, is a black comedy that tells the story of an actor (Michael Keaton) — famous for portraying an iconic superhero named Birdman (Not…Batman) — as he struggles to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.

It’s actually hard to watch the trailer without thinking that these are some of the questions Keaton may have asked himself over the past couple of years.

Contest

If you’re like me and cannot wait to see the movie, well, you’re in luck!  I’ve got ten double passes to the advance screening on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Eau Claire.

To be entered to win, tell me what your favourite Michael Keaton movie is in the comments section. I’ll do the draw on Monday, October 27th.  (You can say Jack Frost, I won’t judge.)
