If you love Shakespeare and you love zombies. Chances are, you’ve never really felt fulfilled in life, well at least when it comes to theatre. Luckily, that all changes this week when Ground Zero Theatre, Hit & Myth Productions and The Shakespeare Company Present: William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead.

(We can talk on Twitter about how the title alone makes this potentially the best show ever.)

The play details the zombie invasion of 1599, (what you didn’t know about it?) You know, the one that made England’s notables  take refuge in the newly built Globe Theater while London is under undead siege. So how do the likes of William Shakespeare, Will Kemp,Francis Bacon and Queen Elizabeth fend off the zombies?  Well, you’ll just have to see the show to find out. Combining the horror of  zombies and a lots of tongue-in-cheque humor about Shakespeare and his many controversies, the show has played to rave review and now it’s here in Calgary for a very limited time.

The show’s limited run starts at The Studio at Vertigo Theatre Centre on March 22nd and must close on April 6th.

  1. Howdy! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when viewing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to correct this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share. Thank you!

  2. The very crux of your writing whilst appearing reasonable initially, did not really work properly with me after some time. Somewhere within the sentences you were able to make me a believer but just for a very short while. I however have a problem with your leaps in assumptions and one might do well to fill in those breaks. When you can accomplish that, I will definitely end up being amazed.
