Okay, admittedly it doesn’t feel like winter out there right now. The east coast of Canada is covered in snow, the rest of Canada is frozen in ice and Vancouver, well Vancouver is rainy and that isn’t anything new.

Which is why now is the PERFECT time to think about getting away from the stormy weather and relax in a warm tropical climate. The Weather Network is inviting you and your readers to take a shot at creating a unique 30 second weather ad at www.myweatherad.com, for a chance to win an all-inclusive vacation to the Mayan Riviera for 2!

If all you have to do to win a trip is make a thirty second video, why wouldn’t you do it?

1. Visit www.myweatherad.com

2. Watch the tutorial and voila, you’re ready to create a personalized weather ad with your own pictures or videos. Just think, visions of sun and sand could be just around the corner.

3. Share your weather ad with friends and family and ask them to “Like” your ad; the weather ad with the most “Like” votes wins!

Contest closes on March 21st, so you have a few weeks to get your video up running, then get your friends voting!

But since the weather is so crappy, maybe you need some inspiration to get you at least thinking about the Summer time!  The Weather Network has a fancy picnic basket for one lucky Mike’s Bloggity Blog reader!   The basket includes an insulated blanket and all the cutlery and utensils the winner will need to enjoy a picnic this summer.

To enter the contest, leave a comment with your Picnic basket must-haves!  Beer? Peaches?  Egg Salad sandwiches. (I’d probably not mix those three!) Contest closes Sunday at 11:59pm MST

  1. Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Safari. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The design look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Thanks

  2. oooh, I LOVE picnics! Always pack sweet tea, a loaf of hard crust french bread, smoked gouda, and hard salami. You just tear of a piece of bread, cut the meat and cheese and snack away. My husband had this very picnic made up for us when we went to the grand canyon. Though at the time, it was packed in a walmart sack :/

  3. i always love alot of sandwhich foods with my picnic.. without it itll be just a dine-in
