I’m calling it right now. This is the best news you’ll read today.

Broadway Across Canada just announced that the broadway smash Come From Away will be making it’s tour debut in their 2018-2019 season.

When I saw the email, I literally shouted with joy. I love this show so much and I honestly think it changes how people think about being kind and generous.  If you don’t know about Come From Away, it’s the true story of what happened when 38 planes landed in Gander, Newfoundland on September 11th, 2001.  The show was developed here in Canada and since opening on Broadway a few months ago, it’s been a huge hit and is currently up for 7 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.  It’s also already won 5 Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best Musical and 4 Helen Hayes Awards including Outstanding Musical Production, and is nominated for 9 Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical.

When the show had it’s pre-Broadway run in Toronto, it broke sales records. Yes, it’s that good. Oh and this is the show that Justin Trudeau brought Ivanka Trump to.

The show’s  North American Tour will include engagements in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa during Broadway Across Canada’s 18/19 seasons. Additional details, including dates, casting, and a full tour itinerary, will be announced at a later date.

Make sure you have your eyes peeled to the Broadway Across Canada website for more details. You do not want to miss this show, that I promise you!
