Great news for Corrie fans like me, CBC has announced that starting September 18th, they’ll be taking us to the cobbles six times a week! That’s right, on Mondays we’ll be treated to double episodes of the long running soap.

But for fans hoping that this will catch us up with the UK series, which airs about two-weeks behind schedule, we’re in no such luck. This move is actually to help us stay closer to Corrie which is also adding a sixth episode.

Here’s your new Corrie weeknight schedule: Mondays at 7 & 7:30 pm (7:30 & 8 NT), Tuesdays to Fridays at 7:30 (8 NT).

The Sunday morning omnibus of the week’s episodes airs 8:00-11:00 a.m. (8:30-11:30 a.m. NT) beginning September 24.

This makes me super excited, because Mondays are usually the worst day of the week, but now with twice as much Corrie, it quickly moves up to maybe the third for forth day of the week!

In case you missed it, I actually got to go to the set of Coronation Street last year and interview some of the cast for CBC.  It was the most incredible experience, here’s one of my favourite videos.
