>After six seasons, Canadian Idol has been able to produce only a handful of success stories.  The winner of each season is usually able to parlay their victory into approximately 12 months of notoriety before quickly falling off the map by the time their sophmore (if they even get one) is released. Paging Melissa O’Neil, paging Melissa O’Neil.

Idol runner ups find even less success than that.
For season five third place finisher Carly Rae Jepsen, I hope things turn out a little bit different.
The other day, I happen to catch her new song, from her debut CD released in September (who knew?!),  the song is called Tug of War and against all odds, I really like it.  Like really really really like it.

Plus she gets points for using the canadian idol-unfriendly word “screwing”.
Come on Carly!  Show that Billy Klippert dude what 3rd place really looks like!

  1. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being ripped off? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
