The VMAs weren’t the only awards on Sunday night. In Vancouver, the Canadian Country Music Awards were given out and singer Johnny Reid cleaned up nicely. His newest album, Dance With Me won five of the awards out of the six he was nominated for, including Album, Songwriter, Video and Male Artist of the Year. For a full list of winners, click here.
On the other side of the country, The Canadian Walk of Fame, apparently* introduced eight new inductees in Toronto on Saturday. The newest names that you can walk all over include: Blue Rodeo, Raymond Burr, Kim Cattrall, Tom Cochrane, Dsquared2 (Dean & Dan Caten), Howie Mandel, Robert Munsch and Chantal Petitclerc.
*I say “apparently” because I can’t find a single news clip or picture of the event, so I’m just going to assume nothing crazy happened.
So congrats to everyone that won something this weekend. Here’s hoping Kanye didn’t interrupt any of your speeches.
