Calling all photog friends!
The Calgary Zoo is giving you a chance to see their animals like never before.
On May 13th, the zoo will be opening its doors (to the zoo, not the animal’s pens) earlier than usual, all so you can get the perfect shot! Focused 150 runs from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and will give photographers the chance to capture (with their lens, not their nets) the animals as they are just getting up for the day. And photographers know, there’s no light like morning light!
“It is often difficult to snap the perfect shot of your favourite animal because the zoo is so full of
energetic people. It’s for this reason that the Calgary zoo has decided to host an early morning photography event as part of our Canada 150 celebrations,†says Roz Freeman, Senior Specialist Special Events and Experiences.
This will be your chance to see Skoki the grizzly taking his morning bath in the pond, the elusiveness of the wolves, the silhouette of the whooping cranes with the rising sun…a unique Canadian experience.
Oh and the zoo’s gardens! How can you not take a thousand pictures of the zoos gardens?!
This event is suited for all levels of photography but is restricted to adults only (18+).
Tickets are $40 and also allow you access to the zoo after it opens to the public too! Purchase tickets online by clicking here and then show me your pictures. I can’t wait to see them!
