Lots of Canadians are still enjoying the effects of a lingering summer, but if you’re itching to get snow in your boots and feel the cool chill of the winter air, apparently all you have to do is go for a hike with me.
This weekend, my friend Erik and I headed for a hike in Peter Lougheed Park. While the whether wasn’t ideal, it was still warm enough to justify shorts…with a nice sweater too.
Well it didn’t take long for our hike to Chester Lake to turn cold, wet and yes a little snowy. It snowed a few cms and what was funny, was that on the way home, we were the only car that go covered in the white stuff.
Only in Alberta can you wear shorts, apply sunscreen and get dumped on by the snow…all in the same day.
But just because it snowed, it doesn’t mean I didn’t take the chance to take advantage of some free advertising:
