Okay, so a review of Scream 4 doesn’t really count as Canadian content but I just saw the movie at a preview screening and I simply must talk about it. So I’m going to use one of my “That’s A Stretch” blog-savers: The movie features three Canadian actresses, all with good parts: Neve Campbell, Anna Paquin, Shenae Grimes.
Scream 4 Review in 99 Words:
Let’s get this out of the way: No, it’s not as good as the first Scream. But NOTHING ever will be. That movie changed the way horror movies were made. For me, Scream 4 was exactly what I needed. Neve! David! Courteney! Laughs! And most importantly, lots of scary and jump out of your chair worthy scenes. Refreshingly it wasn’t the gross, torture porn, scary movies have become today. Four ranks way above Three and pretty close to number Two. Go to Scream 4, not to criticize, but to have a good ol’ fashioned time. I know I did.
