The second annual #LoveYYC Day is happening this Saturday, November 4th.  Tourism Calgary is inviting everyone to get out and try something new and find new reasons to love this city.
Think of it like Groupon for the entire city of Calgary. There’s a ton of different deals, something for everyone, so make sure you check out Tourism Calgary’s site because they keep adding more deals, but here’s some of my favourite!
Staycation at the Marriott Downtown
$99
Located right in the middle of downtown Calgary, this is a perfect place to either put up your feet and just enjoy a beautiful and affordable hotel for the night. Or you can hit the down and explore some of the city’s best restaurants just steps from the lobby.
25% regular price admission at Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame
Yay! @CANsportshall has my favourite sport: Zombie dodgeball! pic.twitter.com/IQKbI5K4ox

I know I’m not the most likely person to recommend the Sports Hall of Fame, but I took my niece a few years ago and we had an absolute blast. For sports buffs, there’s more sports memorabilia than you could ever imagine. And for the rest of us, there’s a ton of interactive games and exhibits. My personal favourte was where you get to try and be a sports broadcaster. Definitely a great thing to do if you’re looking to stay warm this weekend.
20% Off An Evening with Michael Bernard Fitzgerald and Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
Some of Calgary’s best musicians are coming together for a special concert this weekend. Tickets start at only $25 and you can use code LOVEYYC to receive a 20% discount for November 3rd show!
2 for 1 tickets to the Calgary Stampede’s Evening Show

I could do without the chuckwagon races, but since this is the only way to get to see the TransAlta Grandstand Show with the Young Canadians, might as well get a deal out of it!
Nomad is one of my favourite companies in Calgary, simply because it’s just so damn clever. It’s a bike rental service that comes to you! They have a wide variety of bikes, so if you have friends or family visiting, you can rent a bike that will be delivered to your house, and they pick it up when you’re done!
Free Eau Claire Distillery Tour
Wow! First time visiting @EauClaireCraft in Turner Valley. What an awesome experience. pic.twitter.com/G3YA0NbzrT

Okay, this one technically isn’t in Calgary, but Turner Valley is just outside and it’s always been one of my favourite day trips. Be sure to check out Black Diamond too while you’re out there.  I actually just went to Eau Claire Distillery for the first time this past weekend and was wowed at 1.) how beautiful the building was and 2.) how great the food and drinks were.
Lunchbox Theatre 2 for 1 tickets
In honour of #LoveYYC Day, Lunchbox Theatre is offering 2 for 1 tickets to come see any show in their 2017/2018 Season! Lunchbox Theatre takes place in the base of the Calgary Tower and are perfectly timed so you can watched them over your lunch break! A great way to enjoy local theatre and take a well-deserved break in the middle of your day.

Probably the priciest of the #LoveYYC deals, but worth every penny. This is your chance to experience Calgary 1000 feet up. It takes off from Springbank Airport and from the comfort of your helicopter, you’ll get an unforgettable bird’s eye view tour of Calgary.
