We all watch TV for different reasons; to learn, to be entertained, to be scared. Personally, I like to watch TV to laugh. Here are my top shows for fans of comedy. Funny is just the way I like it.
Veep (HBO)
It’s not just because Julia Louis Dreyfus was in Seinfeld, one of the best comedies of all time. This show really is one of the wittiest and smartest comedies on the air today. You don’t need to love election coverage to be entertained by these politicians.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX)
If you are missing The Office, this show should definitely be your replacement. It’s like The Office, but at a police station. There are always a bunch of laughs and Chelsea Peretti’s character, Gina, never fails to disappoint.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW)
An interesting hyperbole of a girl moving across the country for a boy she dated in her youth…and it’s hilarious! There is the added bonus of musical numbers thrown in by the leading lady, Rebecca Bunch. In case you’re missing Glee, this may be your replacement.
Silicon Valley (HBO)
A show about a tech start-up company in the place where all the tech giants live – the Silicon Valley. If you didn’t think the life of a Mark Zuckerberg-type could be hilarious, you are mistaken. As shows like The Big Bang Theory have shown us, the nerds have found a way to our funny bones.
American Horror Story (FX)
Kidding, it’s a great show but it’s no comedy. So if you don’t like horror, why watch it? Just like with Optik™ Theme Packs, because they are smaller and more relevant, you pay for the channels you actually want to watch and get less of the ones you don’t.
