Well, I’ve been counting down to this milestone for quite a while. This, my friends and strangers that read this blog, is my 4000th post.

Whoa. I’m just going to take a moment. I’ve told the story of this blog a million times, so I won’t do it here again, but I will say (again) that starting Mike’s Bloggity Blog in 2006 has definitely changed my life. The people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, the things I’ve done and all because I’m writing about what I love? It doesn’t seem fair how lucky I’ve been.

Here are some other milestones: 1,000th, 2,000th and 3,000th posts!

The other thing this blog has taught me? People are awesome. Sure this blog has my name on it and for the most part, I’ve written 95% of the blog posts, but I’ve by no means done it by myself. From the people who’ve helped design, promote and talk about the blog, to all the people who’ve answered my sometimes relentless emails and all the people who’ve actually read the blog, it’s really incredible. Again, so lucky.

To celebrate 4000 posts, today, I’m launching a whole new look for the blog….which I’m sure you’ve already noticed. Again, this is only because people dedicated countless hours to helping me continue to do something that I love. Speaking of love, I LOVE the new look of the blog and I hope you do too. Thanks to the new design, you should be able to sort through the 4,000 blog posts with ease, maybe learn some new things about Canadian entertainment and most importantly, have fun.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to check out the blog. If it’s okay with you, I’m just going to go ahead and say, “Here’s to another 4,000 posts.”

Wanna know more about this kick-ass design, get in touch with Richard Einarson. Crazy, right? Also, thanks to Jes and Krista, who spent 12 hours helping with coding and categorizing the blog this weekend. For my new profile pics, Nick at My Big Picture was tasked with the un-eviable job of trying to make me look normal in front of the camera. I think he did an awesome job.

  1. Hi there, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any assistance is very much appreciated.
