FFWD Magazine has put the call out for their annual Best of Calgary reader’s survey. And what sort of blogger would I be if I didn’t try and solicite at least a few votes, right?
I’m not one to admit to bragging publicly, but Mike’s Bloggity Blog did win Best Blog in last year’s reader survey. But not without a little drama:
Let’s be honest, I don’t think they like me very much. Last year when I actually won Best Blog, they didn’t even tell. It wasn’t until I got a bunch texts from people who saw it in the magazine. I thought it was oversight until I saw people tweeting from the FFWD Best of Calgary party, a party of which I wasn’t invited to and almost a year later, they still haven’t sent me my plaque. Which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but it would only be my second ever plaque and my mantle is desperately
sad empty. (My first plaque was for winning a sand building contest at New River Beach when I was ten.)
Should you want to take a few minutes to vote, here is the link. There are hundreds of categories that you can fill out, but you only have to fill out a minimum of fourty. IF you wanted to vote for someone for Best Blog, head on over to the Urban Life section and scroll down to about number twenty four.
