FFWD Magazine has put the call out for their annual Best of Calgary reader’s survey.  And what sort of blogger would I be if I didn’t try and solicite at least a few votes, right?

I’m not one to admit to bragging publicly, but Mike’s Bloggity Blog did win Best Blog in last year’s reader survey.  But not without a little drama:

Let’s be honest, I don’t think they like me very much.  Last year  when I actually won Best Blog,  they didn’t even tell.  It wasn’t until I got a bunch texts from people who saw it in the magazine.  I thought it was oversight until I saw people tweeting from the FFWD Best of Calgary party, a party of which I wasn’t invited to and almost a year later, they still haven’t sent me my plaque.  Which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but it would only be my second ever plaque and my mantle is desperately sad empty.  (My first plaque was for winning a sand building contest at New River Beach when I was ten.)

Should you want to take a few minutes to vote, here is the link.   There are hundreds of categories that you can fill out, but you only have to fill out a minimum of fourty.  IF you wanted to vote for someone for Best Blog, head on over to the Urban Life section and scroll down to about number twenty four.

Voting is until May 16th

  1. Howdy, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam feedback? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any support is very much appreciated.
