Alberta’s premiere shot this short video for next week’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes and it has set the internet abuzz. Mostly because people can’t decide if it’s funny or in poor taste.

You watch it and tell me what you think.

Obviously, living in Alberta, there’s lots of different opinions about the oil sands, but for the premiere to take aim at her critics and make fun of the controversy can either be seen as brilliant or embarrassing. Maybe it’s because the line isn’t delivered properly. After all, politicians aren’t really known for their sense of humour Is she endorsing global warming?

I still can’t tell. I’ve watched the video a few different times. I do think it’s great that Redford is at least attempting to be funny. She comes off as nice, but not exactly warm. This video, to some, should help.
