This is your chance to spend Halloween deep inside a Canmore cave watching a scary movie!

Oct 23, 2017

If you feel like spending your Halloween dealing with darkness, claustrophobia and creepy crawlies….while watching a movie about darkness, claustrophobia and creepy crawlies, then you’ll definitely want to check out what Canmore Cave Tours is up to for the spookiest day of the year.

On October 27 & 28, 2017  (okay, it’s a few days before the spookiest day of the year, but Halloween is a Tuesday, which is also well known as the most boring day of the year), brave souls will have the chance to head into Rat’s Nest Cave and not only experience one of the most thrilling adventures in Canada, they’ll also be able to watch one of the scariest movies ever made.

Canmore Cave Tours will be screening The Descent, a terrifying movie about people lost in…you guessed it…a cave. Not only are they lost, there’s some very angry and hungry monsters chasing them.  If you’ve never seen the movie, it’s so scary and so good. But even if you’ve seen it a million times, I bet you’ve never seen it in a cave!  Talk about the ultimate Halloween experience!

I’ve actually done the Canmore cave tour and while it was a ton of fun, it definitely pushes a few buttons. Especially once you make it to the bottom and realize how far you are from the entrance. But that’s the thing about the tour, just like the movie, it hits different people differently.  For some on our tour, nothing about it bothered them. For others, they were scared the whole time, and for people like me, it wasn’t too scary, but there were a few moments where I thought “What am I doing!?”

The Halloween experience is $129.00 and trust me when I say you’ll be talking probably for the rest of your life!
