Netflix’s Trailerpalooza: House of Cards, Mitt and a fireplace.
Dec 18, 2013
If you’re a fan of Netflix Canada, then Christmas has come early. In the past couple of days, the video streaming service has released a slew of trailers for their original content. Sadly, none of them are for the second season of Orange is the New Black, but that’s okay. It’s not Christmas yet. I can be patient.
I was sorta hoping this was going to be a documentary about people who try to find the rightful owners of mittens that have been discarded on the sidewalk, but a new documentary about the man who got second place behind Barack Obama might be just as good. It premieres exclusively on Netflix on January 24th.
The Square is another Netflix original documentary that chronicles the 2011 Egyptian protest movement to overthrow the military leader Hosni Mubarak and then the ousting of Mohammed Morsi in 2013. Call me naive, but in the two minute trailer alone I learned so much more than I thought I knew. This documentary has been making the rounds at film festivals to rave reviews. I can’t wait to see it when it premieres January 17, 2014.
House of Cards: Season 2.
The first season of House of Cards literally changed the game on how TV shows are made and watched and the second season looks to change the game again. Already the winner of three Emmys, the second season comes with an allegiance of fans that know great original TV can indeed be found on Netflix. Look for it to break records when it premieres on Valentine’s Day.
And last, but not least:
Fireplace for your Home
Yup, it really is a trailer for the video that turns your TV into a fireplace. Heck, why not. Luckily, you don’t have to wait for this hot release, it’s available now.
