It’s hard to imagine the Canadian comedy landscape without the one and only Brent Butt. For six seasons, his show, Corner Gas, raked in huge laughs…and ratings, and since then he’s been staying quite busy.

This week, he’ll be returning to the stage for a night of stand up comedy in Calgary and Edmonton. I got the chance to sit down with him and talk about his funny life, who is making him laugh in Canadian comedy and his first foray on writing for the big screen!

Check out his upcoming shows: Calgary: June 15th at the Jack Singer Concert Hall and Edmonton: June 22nd at the Francis Winspear Centre for Music.

CONTEST:

I’ve also got a pair of tickets to give away to Brent’s upcoming Calgary show!  To enter, leave a comment in the comments section telling me why you think Brent is so funny!

BONUS ENTRY:

Tweet:  “I really want to see @BrentButt in Calgary this Friday!  I hope to win tickets from @mikesbloggity! #yyc http://goo.gl/Cb0NK”

Contest closes Thursday, June 16th at noon MST.
