Contest: Win a pair of tickets to Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella!

Mar 09, 2017

Broadway Across Canada is about to grace Calgary with yet another Tony® Award-winning Broadway musical!  And if the shoe fits, you’ll be walking away with a pair of tickets.

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella comes to the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium for a limited engagement from April 25 – 30, 2017.

The magical show is a fresh new take on the beloved tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid into a princess. It features the story’s classic elements – glass slippers, pumpkin, and a beautiful ball along with some surprising twists. More than just a pretty face with the right shoe size, this Cinderella is a contemporary figure living in a fairytale setting. She is a spirited young woman with savvy and soul who doesn’t let her rags or her gowns trip her up in her quest for kindness, compassion and forgiveness. She longs to escape the drudgery of her work at home and instead work to make the world a better place. She not only fights for her own dreams, but forces the prince to open his eyes to the world around him and realize his dreams too.

Tickets are on sale now. through www.ticketmaster.ca or by calling 1-855-985-5000. Performances run Tuesday through Sunday evenings 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 2:00 p.m. matinees. Tickets start at $30.

When I had to go away for work and leave my prince charming with the kids. I came home to a clean house, flowers on the table and he had bought me some new clothes. He said he truly missed me.

My now husband rented a clown costume from the flower shop guy to bring me flowers without me knowing it was him to my work. We just met the weekend before and had a date planed for later that night. He wanted to surprise me. It worked because 16 years later we are still going strong.

I got a bracelet and on each milestone of our relationship my hubby would give me a charm that signifies the occasion. Charms when we got engaged, married, got a pet, had kids, bought a house, etc. Maybe I will get another one since he has filled it up already …wink … wink.
