Christopher Nolan’s Alberta-shot Interstellar looks out of this world!

May 16, 2014

Last summer, a slew of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities descended upon Calgary for a mysterious Christopher Nolan project.  If you know Nolan as the director of Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy, than you know that a “mysterious” Christopher Nolan project could mean anything.

Well, now with the release of the first trailer of Interstellar, we’re getting a sense of what Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, William Devane and Michael Caine were up to when they were visiting Calgary.

Here’s what we know:

-It looks like most of the Alberta shooting was done in the Foothills, the part between Calgary and the rocky mountains.
-And…um, I think that’s it.

The trailer looks like it’s about a mission to find a new place for humans to live, but knowing Nolan, that’s what the first five minutes of the movie is about. And let’s be honest, we’re all still trying to figure out what Inception was about. So we many never know what Interstellar is about, but Matthew McConaughey is on a hot streak, so it might not even matter!

Check out the trailer and piece together what you can.  Interstellar comes out on November 7th, 2014.

And just cause it’s still one of the coolest things that’s ever happened, here’s a pic on McConaughey on the Joey’s patio last summer in Eau Claire!

  1. You could definitely see your enthusiasm within the work you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers like you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe. All the time follow your heart.

  2. I want to show some appreciation to the writer just for bailing me out of such a scenario. Because of checking through the the net and getting ideas that were not pleasant, I assumed my life was gone. Living minus the approaches to the problems you have sorted out as a result of your entire article is a serious case, as well as those that might have badly affected my career if I hadn’t encountered your blog post. Your personal expertise and kindness in playing with every aspect was invaluable. I’m not sure what I would’ve done if I had not come upon such a thing like this. I’m able to at this moment look ahead to my future. Thanks for your time very much for the reliable and result oriented help. I won’t think twice to recommend your web sites to anyone who wants and needs guidance on this area.
