Here’s a fun fact for you: When I was ten years old, I played Magical Mr. Mistoffelees in a school play!

Okay, maybe that’s more embarrassing than fun, but I do have a point.

This Friday, Theatre Calgary‘s final production of the season opens and it will have audiences all a purr!

Since it’s first performance in 1981, CATS has been wowing crowds from all over the world.  And now comes the first made-in-Alberta production of this ground breaking musical. Let the “Memory” live again. With record-breaking runs on Broadway and London’s West End, this worldwide sensation is one of the most beloved musicals of all time. Join Grizabella, Old Deuteronomy, Mister Mistoffelees and the rest of the Jellicle Cats as they gather under a full moon to discover who will be chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer.   I saw the show when I was a kid (before I was in it) and it’s such a fun show with songs that will be stuck in your head FOREVER!

I think we can all agree that there’s nothing better than taking a night away from your home and enjoying the comfort of hotel…especially when it’s free.   That’s why I think you’ll love this contest!

It’s probably going to be one of the biggest movies of the year, screenings are already selling out, the books are taking over the bookstores and like Harry Potter and Twilight before it, The Hunger Games looks to have youth excited about reading again.  And not just youth, I can’t wait for this movie to open, I haven’t been this excited for a movie since Scream 4.

The Hunger Games is packed with stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks and Lenny Kravitz and opens in theatres on March 23rd.  I have to giveaway ONE double pass to a special screening the day before on March 22nd.

The screening is for here in Calgary, so if you win, you should probably live here….unless you wanna fly, that would be cool.
