Did you watch Britney’s new documentary, Britney: For The Record, Sunday night on Much and MTV?!?
There were a ton of bombshells and revelations but my favorite came from Britney’s Dad, Jamie Spears.
“Breakfast of champions is cheese grits.”
Who knew?
My second favorite moment also came from Jamie Spears, when he unintentionally channeled another famous father, Joe Simpson:
“Damn, nice hooker shoes baby.”
Paging Joe Simpson
>I’m finally figuring out how to get some of my Breakfast Television clips posted. I posted one late last week and here are two more.
These two are from September 3rd when I was in two different segments. Check them out below!!
Here is the link to see all the blogs that were mentioned.

I’m hearing grumblings that Britney might be making a stop in Calgary for her new world tour on April 4th, 2009.
Nothing confirmed yet…….

We are all mature enough to acknowledge that Britney’s new single Womanizer is the most annoying/amazing/awful/addictive song ever written. But I have a feeling that with Britney’s new CD getting closer and closer the onslaught on pop-friendly hell songs are only going to get worse. And yes, they can get much worse.
The release of her real comeback album is only a few weeks away and they’ve just released her album cover to her newest CD called Circus.
These are my immediate thoughts upon first viewing:
- I wish my hair grew back that fast.
- Is that Paris Hilton? Is she really releasing another CD? Hasn’t the financial crisis put us through enough suffering?
- Yah! She’s wearing clothes.
- Boo! She’s wearing clothes.

Britney Spears says the word “womanizer” 36 times in her new record breaking single Womanizer.
You are welcome.

The 25th annual MTV Video Music Awards were handed out Sunday night and like with every thing on MTV it was completely ridiculous but still fun to watch, kinda like a car crash, a drunken, cocaine, arrogant and lip-synching car crash.
-Does anyone over hype more the hybrid of muchmusic and mtv? It’s especially bad now that they are both owned by the same company.
-No surprise that Britney looked great, what was surprising was that she apparently forgot not to hold the mic directly in front of her face.
-I wanted to love Russell Brand so much, so far? Not so much.
-It’s getting harder and harder to resist the Jonas Brothers. Even the most cynical person has to admit that it was pretty cool to see 1200 running and screaming (casted) teenagers.
-Michael Phelps left his energy in the pool.
-Lil’ Wayne has so many tatoos he could be on Prison Break, so know if Prison Break was still cool.
-Uhhh Lil’Wayne and Young Jezzy are two different people! Who knew?
-I’m 26 years old and I have never heard a Paramour song, all of a sudden I feel a whole lot older.
-John Legend and Tila Tequila sitting beside eachother.
-Anyone know why Leah Miller from Muchmusic keeps showing us clips from VMAs that just happened? Aside from Ten Second Ted is anyone’s memory that bad?
-OMG Lincoln Park won an award! OMFG Lincoln Park is still around!
-P!nk definitely have the coolest performance of the night, too bad she also had the worst back-up singers.
-Holy shit those paid fans are EVERYWHERE!
-I’ve always been confused by Slipknot and their masks. What’s the point of being a famous band if no one recognizes you?! And is it weird that I think they sound like really nice guys?
-Jordin Spark calls out Sluts! Nice!
-I love how they are using the Paramount lot for some of the performances!
-Rhianna is back for a second performance, seems kinda greedy no?
-Christina Aguilera is back but why is she lip syncing? She does an amazing job live, maybe baby max is more tiring than she thought he was going to be? Not that she doesn’t look hot cause that girl can still put on a great show.
-It was great to see Tokyo Hotel win because out of all the artists they could use exposure that comes with the award. I also never realized that Canada’s Tokyo Police Club was a different band either. See, you can learn things from MTV.
-So what is the night’s most talked accessory? A promise ring.
-I seriously hate Kid Rock. You know what I hate more than Kid Rock? All Summer Long, Which for one reason or another Calgary has adopted as it’s theme song. Ahh well I guess it’s better than Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy. Unfortunately.
-Britney completes with her come back with two VMAs, of course she is still chewing gum, ahh Britney don’t ever change!
-Kanye threw a fit at last year’s VMAs and here he is back to close the show. So fickle Kanye, so fickle indeed.
Here is something to think about:
Pink’s first CD came out in the year 2000. Do you remember when she first came out, she was this super tough acting, florescent pink haired singer who was the older anti-Britney who was probably meant to fizzle out by the time she needed to dye her air again.
Despite the hundreds of artists that have come and gone, here we are in the year 2008 and this girl is STILL around. And not only is she still around, people are still loving her. By now you’ve probably heard her ridiculously catchy song called “So What” It’s been the number one single on Itunes since it’s release two weeks ago and it has easily displaced Christina’s Ain’t No Other Man as the best song to strut to. The song, which is about her divorce and liberty she feels from it, is a great breakup recovery song. Not that I would know, I think the closest I have ever come to being that angry is when I realized that Joss Whedon was never going to cast me as Xander’s long lost brother that I had written into Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Plus the video is absolutely and typically hilarious, especially because it features the person the song is obviously about!
What I’ve always liked about Pink is that I sorta think that she really just wants to be a singer. Aside from her marriage and subsequent divorce to Carey Hart you never hear from her in the tabloids. Besides a couple of cameos she has stayed far away from acting and she has no problem letting us know about her opinions on the issues, luckily they are usually the background to great songs.
“So What” is the first single off of Pink’s fifth (!) CD called Funroom which will be released in October. If you haven’t heard this song yet, consider yourself lucky, because once you do, you will probably break up with someone or quit your job. So have a listen and enjoy what will undoubtedly be the most popular song of the fall!
