Brewster wants you to find your #happyplace this Valentine’s Day

Feb 05, 2017

You feel that in the air?

No, it’s not the cold. It’s love. And pressure. The pressure to plan the perfect Valentine’s Day date. We can all pretend it doesn’t matter, but unless you and your partner have an ironclad contract that says you two don’t care about Valentine’s Day, then you better get planning.

But what if you could find a great Valentine’s Day idea that was both romantic and adventurous? Enter Brewster’s Canada.

Unless this is your first time reading Mike’s Bloggity Blog, you know that one of my favourite things to do is to explore Alberta. And if you’ve been looking for a reason to take a mountain escape, it doesn’t get much better (or romantic) than this!

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Brewster Travel is offering an exciting special to travellers looking to take a weekend getaway with a loved one.

The Date Night package is available for $79 per person and includes a night’s stay at the Elk & Avenue Hotel in Banff, a bottle of wine, admission to the Banff Upper Hotsprings and a two for one admission to the Banff Gondola. Read that again, cause it’s quite a deal. And it’s basically a Bachelor episode waiting to happen. A beautifully renovated hotel, wine, hot springs and the gondola. All that’s missing is Chris Harrison! Visit their site to view full details and book your room.

Contest

If you feel like living on the edge a bit with your Valentine’s Day plans, I’ve got one of these packages to give away! Head to the comments section and tell me why your date is deserving of a romantic getaway. And no, you don’t have to have a date! You could also tell me why the person you’d take with you is deserving of a fun trip to the mountains!

Contest closes February 12th.

Comments

  1. Because I’m sometimes very hard to live with and she could use a break.

  2. Michele

The Mr deserves this because he hasn’t taken a vacation in 8 years. He’s retired but works a full time job and a part time job to support our family. He was assaulted in the part time job and had to have facial reconstruction surgery. And we just had our 25th wedding anniversary (35 years together) and this would be a great way to help us celebrate

  3. Sarah

I believe that my date deserves this package because he is one of the hardest working people that I know. This is his last semester as university student, which includes a full-time course load (5 classes) as well as completing his honours thesis. However, his commitments do not stop here, he is also working part-time which makes it extremely difficult to juggle school, work and time with his family, and myself. This makes his social life, including our date nights, to the minimum. With all of this being said, he is in need of some major rest and relaxation time.

Also, sidenote: I’m a born and raised Calgarian and I unfortunately have never been to the Banff hotsprings or the Banff Gondola, so this would be such an amazing experience to share with my love!

  4. Darryl McCoy

My wife has been busting her but off for the last year working full time, getting her mba and raising our son. She could use a weekend away to be spoiled.

  5. Melissa

My date deserves this because he is the biggest ski fanatic I know, and would absolutely love to take advantage of this perfect ski weather… and finally teach me how to ski like he has always wanted to! It would also be my first time at a hotspring!
It’s been forever since we had a little getaway – this would be perfect!
