Good question! It’s actually from Sex and the City.
“I was resourceful, and I was drunkitty drunk drunk.”-Carrie Bradshaw
What do you write about?
When I was a kid, I used to wander the aisles of Blockbuster helping strangers find movies that I thought they might enjoy. I like to think of Mike’s Bloggity Blog as an extension of that. I love to show Canadians all the cool things happening in this country. From TV shows to hilarious videos, fantastic music and unbelievable stories from the deep hallows of Reddit. I also love exploring, so you’ll often find blog posts dedicated to everyday travel and road trips. There’s also a ton of interviews and lots of contests too. At the end of the day, I write about all the fun things that make people love being Canadian.
Does anyone read this thing?
Yes! Mike’s Bloggity Blog averages 64,000 unique users a month, 87% of which comes from Canada. That results in about 88,000 page views a month. Albertans account for 36% of the blog’s traffic, followed by Ontario at 29% and British Columbia with 14%.
So…you just blog all day?
Sometimes, yes. But truthfully every day is different. Sometimes I’m blogging, other days I’m working on sponsorships with some of Canada’s biggest brands. You might also find me teaching classes on social media and blogging. I also do lots of speaking and hosting gigs at events and conferences and between all of that, I love travel…but who doesn’t?!
What’s your favourite….
I’m not even going to let you finish, whatever the question is going to be, the answer is always The Raccoons.
Where do you live?
My parents’ basement.
No, just kidding. I wish, because that would be way cheaper than rent in Calgary.
What’s next for you?
I never know. But I kind of love that. If you think you might know, you can always reach out and let me know!
