Bloggity Dates: MTV Canada’s Sheena Snively! February 8th, 2012
All this week, Mike’s Bloggity Blog will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special series called Bloggity Dates. Every day, some of the biggest names in Canadian entertainment will be dropping by to share stories of their best, worst and most embarrassing gifts that they’ve gotten from a loved one. If I were you, I’d take notes to ensure you have a perfect Valentine’s Day. Just be sure to invite me to the wedding.

One of my favorite Valentine’s gifts I have ever received was from my husband, Dasher!
‘Twas V-day, and he told me to dress up all fancy and that he was taking me to a super special restaurant. So I got all snazzied up, full hair, full make-up, fully *ahem* shaved! He was dressed up in a suit, tie… the works! We was ready to get romantic!
So we get in the car (in Hamilton) and he starts driving towards Niagara Falls. The whole time I am thinking in my head where are we going? what are we doing? He must be taking me too the Skylon Tower restaurant or something super suave.
We roll up to this empty parking lot, and he proceeds to tell me that he made dinner reservations. We start walking up the street and he says “we’re here!” I turned around and looked across the street – and it was a Denny’s! Ha ha ha! Now for most people they would be like WTF, but to me Denny’s is one of my favourite restaurants. He knew that he had to drive me all the way there too make this V-day special! So we went inside and he had a reserved candle lit dinner in the back of a Denny’s ready for me! The point is he actually listened to the things I like, as opposed to just doing what the masses think is romantic! I guess that’s why I married the big lug!
