>Ohhhhh take a look at the new poster for the next installment of the Final Destination series.
Taking a page from the The Fast and The Furious, the fourth in the series is simply called The Final Destination
These movies have been some of my favorite for their sheer ridiculousness. Adding to the excitement is that this movie will be in 3D!!! All sorts of awesome.
The plot is basically the same as every other movie except this time it’s a race track. Personally, a world with fewer NASCAR fans doesn’t sound like a horror movie at all. Who will wear all the lime green coats?
> This weekend will be a very confusing weekend for me.
I will be heading to the theatre to see Evil Dead: The Musical. Then, at some point, I’m going to be heading to the movie theatre to watch both the family film Pixar’s Up! and Sam Raimi’s horror flick Return to Hell.
Is there something wrong with me that I want to see these two very opposite movies equally as much.
Can you blame me? Their reviews are amazing. Both got an “A” rating from my bible, Entertainment Weekly. UP! currently has a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and Drag Me To Hell has a very ridiculously amazing (for a horror flick) 94%!
I haven’t decided which order I’m going to see them in. Maybe this weekend will be the one where I finally try to sneak into one movie, after paying and watching another. I’ve always wanted to do that.
The only thing standing in my way from a movie/theatre filmed weekend is the stupid weather. Why does it have to be so sunny on weekends I want to be inside? Stupid summer.
It’s no secret that you were a disappointment last year. If you were a person, my parents would call you Michael. But loving music like we do, Calgarians seem to be ready to give you another chance. There is just one problem. Everyone seems to think you are coming but no one seems to know for sure. You won’t even announce if you are coming to Calgary. Even though you’ve already announced Halifax and Montreal. Your acting like you are some big secret festival that people are willing to kill small children to see. I get that you are probably trying to build buzz, but so far, it ain’t working.
If you don’t have a virginfest coming, just say it. If you do, but you could only book the Rankin Family, just say it. You’ll still see me in the first row. But to drag it out like like it’s Donna Martin’s virginity is not cool. There are rumors that some of the acts performing are Shania Twain, Green Day, NSYNC and Pearl Jam. Okay, I made up NSYNC. But it’s more than your doing.
If you are coming, we need to know. Plans must be made. Hydration must be done. If you not, then break the news to us. We are a big city, we can handle. Plus we’re drunk for most of July so we probably wouldn’t remember anyway,
> We still have famine, I’m still bald and the recession still sucks.
But finally some good news:
Tonight is Jay Leno’s last night as host of the Tonight Show! Finally this cheesy, overrated, tired, unfunny and unoriginal “comic” is handing over the reigns to Conan O’Brien.
Hopefully now we can all move past this and enjoy the amazing comedic rivalry that will be Letterman vs. O’Brien.
See you later Jay!
this just in: Jay Leno is back hosting The Jay Leno Show in just three months. FML.
The seventh season of 24 finished last week and you can already pick up the entire season DVD and Bluray! If you didn’t catch it’s originalrun, watching it on DVD makes a perfect mini-movie marathon.
Check out my 99 word review:
24 did the impossible and bounced back to it’s original form after a dull sixth season. Moving the show to Washington, adding a new (female!) president, and pitting Chloe against Janeane Garofalo make up for some disappointing returns and departures. Plus, watching Keifer getting paid to head butt people is fun. Even new fans of the show will scream at the TV with excitement! Unfortunately, the season doesn’t answer an important question: Why doesn’t anyone ever believe Jack! What more does he have to do? Watch the “The Ambush” featurette to see how the season’s biggest blowouts was shot.
Have you gotten your tickets for Evil Dead: The Musical yet?
The show opened yesterday and it’s getting AMAZING reviews! The show is so popular that they’ve actually extended the run until the end of June 30th.
I’ve been telling you since I saw the show in Toronto, that this show is really great that even Nickelback fans would love it. They would also love a show, but that’s another argument for another day.
I’ll be there on Saturday night and I can’t freaking wait to see the show again!
