Carly Rae Jepsen: From Third to first! December 16th, 2008

The winner of each season is usually able to parlay their victory into approximately 12 months of notoriety before quickly falling off the map by the time their sophmore (if they even get one) is released. Idol runner ups find even less success than that.
For season five third place finisher Carly Rae Jepsen, I hope things turn out a little bit different.
The other day, I happen to catch her new song, from her debut CD released in September (who knew?!), the song is called Tug of War and against all odds, I really like it. Like really really really like it.
Plus she gets points for using the canadian idol-unfriendly word “screwing”.
Come on Carly! Show that Billy Klippert dude what 3rd place really looks like!
